'Samurai Jack' News: Popular Animated Series Returns For New Season This 2016?
Fans of the widely popular "Samurai Jack" animated series are not only happy about its return this 2016, but also the fact that Genndy Tartakovsky is back to help the project.
The reboot of the series is expected to be released some time in 2016 and the show's creator, Genndy Tartakovsky, confirmed his involvement.
Although the show's exact release date is still a mystery, rumors and fan speculations claim that it will be sooner than later.
"Samurai Jack" ran for 52 episodes spanning three years in Adult Swim, and it is also confirmed that the show will return to its home channel for the reboot.
The cable network has also released a somehow minimalist 5-second teaser about the show's upcoming return.
In an interview with Cartoon Brew, Tartakovsky said that "Samurai Jack" is ripe for a return this 2016.
He added, "In the last five years, I've traveled quite a bit domestically and internationally, and wherever I go, Samurai Jack is number one. People are so appreciative of and inspired by it; which is really nice. I feel like it is more popular now than it was when it actually aired."
Tartakovsky also explained his concern about the growing appeal of online streaming services. The director added that he is in the process of finding the "perfect home" for the animated series.
According to Youth Health Mag, there are rumors claiming that the return of "Samurai Jack" this 2016 will usher in a more violent era for the series.
There are concerns that the upcoming reboot will be specifically tailored for mature audiences and not entirely for children.
While "Samurai Jack" is first and foremost an animated series, some analysts perceived it as too bloody and violent for young audiences. This is why it is highly advised that parents should be there to guide their children watching the cartoon.
