A handful of "The Originals" season 3 spoilers claim that the series will take on a new spin and will focus on the story between the former Regent of the Nine Covens Davina and her love interest Kol Mikaelson.
It was not yet confirmed but fans' speculations have been steadily brewing at the possibility that Davina will resurrect the dead Kol in the upcoming season.
These speculations were finally addressed after the series' co-executive producer Michael Narducci confirmed that Davina will indeed bring Kol back from the dead.
"Davina will find help from an unlikely place and make contact with the long lost love of her life, Kol Mikaelson," Narducci said per a report from Entertainment Weekly.
He added that Davina will face serious work in bringing her love interest back to life. It is believed that she is set to embark on a dangerous journey in order to reach the supernatural world of New Orleans, the setting of the story.
"This will be the first chapter in a storyline that will have long-lasting effects on the entire Mikaelson clan," Narducci confirmed.
Despite the recent hints on what the "The Originals" season 3 will take on, the co-executive producer is mum on spoilers about who will reprise the role of Mikaelson.
According to Movie News Guide, fans are divided on this matter as some expect Nathaniel Buzolic to play the role again. There are also others who want Daniel Sherman to play the character. Both actors have previously played the part of Kol Mikaelson.
