Joakim Noah

Joakim Noah has never made it a secret that he's unhappy with his current role with the Chicago Bulls, so it's no surprise to find his name in NBA trade rumors, the latest of which involved the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Noah remains unhappy with his current standing in the organization, and 'still hasn't moved past losing his starting job'' late in training camp. The source went onto say that Noah 'hasn't been a distraction by any means, but isn't the biggest [coach Fred] Hoiberg fan these days,'" the Chicago Sun Times reported.

The Bleacher Report said that Joakim Noah would be perfect for the Los Angeles Lakers because he would provide hustle and defense to a young trio of Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell.

"At 30, Noah still has a lot of game left. While his scoring has fallen way off this season, he's still rebounding strongly-averaging 8.8 boards in just 22.3 minutes per game," the article said.

"He's also still protecting the rim aggressively, and has always been one of the better post playmakers in the league. The longtime Bulls center is in the last year of his contract, earning $13.4 million salary for the season."

But the Los Angeles Lakers need to dump some personnel in its roster to avoid going over the cap and pay luxury tax if they are going sign Joakim Noah.

And that's why Nick Young's name was dragged into the NBA trade rumors as he couldn't seem to find his offense in coach Byron Scott's system with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Nick Young has been the subject of trade rumors in Los Angeles for the last year, but nothing has ever become of it. Currently, Young is averaging a mere 7.9 points-per-game, which is his lowest since his rookie year of 2007 with Washington," Inquistr reported.

Nevertheless, these are all speculations for now but the NBA trade rumors are sure to pick up with the Feb. 19 deadline drawing near.
