‘Digimon Adventure Tri Reunion’ Episode 1-4 Out Online; Sparks Izzy And Mimi Blossoming Romance?

"Digimon Adventure Tri Reunion' episode 1-4 streams online via Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment.

The first four episodes were added on the aforementioned's AnimeLab video-on-demand service for free here. They run approximately 24 minutes each and features the original Japanese release with English subtitle, Otaku Study  reported.

According to Youth Health Magazine, "Digimon Adventure Tri" is the first to be released out of the six planned movies as part of the Digimon franchise's 15th anniversary.

The movie was released in 10 theaters in Japan late last year.

Reportedly, in just two days of its theatrical release it sold 36,000 tickets for 59 million yen which translates to $480,000 USD and sold over 139,408 tickets for a total of 218 million yen (about $1.80 million USD) by Dec. 16.

Due to a high demand on Japanese movie goers, the film continued to play instead on the original three weeks release. As of Jan. 4, the film old 146,671 tickets in just 10 theaters for a total of 229 million yen, about $1.95 million USD, ANN  reported.

Blu-ray and DVD formats have been also released in Japan.

"Digimon Adventure Tri Reunion" centers on the lead character Taichi Yagami. The events takes place after Taichi and the rest of the DigiDestined cross the Digi World six years ago and three years after their final battle between Hikari Yagami's group and BelialVamdemon.

In addition to the character's "reunion," the movie also sparked a blossoming love affair of Mimi and Izzy that might continue on the upcoming movie.

"This guy really doesn't get social cues, which puts him in hot water when Mimi turn the flirt on around him. He's paralyzed with fear! You know that girl is going to rock his world one of these days," Den of Geek  wrote.

On the other hand, the second film titled "Determination" will be released in Japan on Mar. 12, while a Blu-Ray and DVD versions will start shipping on Apr. 2, Youth Health Magazine reported.
