Apple MacBook Pro 2016: Sporting Touch ID On Release Date? Designer Hinted Improved Laptop Design And Functionality

The lack of update of Macbook Pro 2016 during the Apple event last year had the people speculating what's in store over the upcoming laptop model when release date is finally announced.

According to Macworld, Apple Macbook Pro followers will be witnessing a slight makeover for the 2016 updated model since its last update between the months of March and May 2015. Apple will bring new flavors to its supposed 13-inch and 15-onch laptop models by including Skylake-U chipset paired with a more powerful RAM, Type-C USB port, Force Touch technology and improved battery life.

If the rumored specs materialize, Macworld stated that many professionals will benefit from this added features.

To date, the current 13-inch MacBook Pro is geared with Intel Broadwell processor, while the 15-inch variant comes in a Haswell processor. For many users, the performance of the latest versions was not highly satisfactory.

According to Australia Network News, the MacBook Pro 2016 release became a hot topic after its alleged appearance on the CBS segment, "60 Minutes," that featured a sneak peek into Apple's Chief Design Officer, John Ive.

During the segment, viewers noticed a laptop that was believed to be MacBook Pro 2016's prototype. The laptop seemed to be sleeker, wherein users regarded it to be lighter than the reigning models. The site also added that MacBook Pro 2016 will include the Touch ID, Force Touch track pad and a longer battery life.

The upcoming generation of MacBook will reportedly ship in 13-inch and 15-inch screen variants with a thinner profile and most recent OS X operating system, following the price point of the previous models.

As far as release date is concerned, analysts believed that MacBook Pro 2016 will be presented either on Apple's rumored March event or during the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
