Illit's music video for "It's Me" passed 100 million views on YouTube on Saturday. It's the second video in the group's two-year career to cross that line, after their 2024 debut single "Magnetic."
"It's Me" is the title track from Illit's fourth EP, "Mamihlapinatapai," released April 30. The video reached 100 million views in less than 80 days. On the same day, Spotify confirmed that "Not Cute Anymore" - the title track from Illit's first single album, released last November - had passed 200 million streams on the platform. "Not Cute Anymore" peaked at No. 14 on Melon's daily chart on Jan. 17 and has stayed on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs global chart for seven consecutive weeks.
Both milestones land two years and four months after Illit's March 2024 debut under Belift Lab, the Hybe subsidiary that also produces Enhypen. The five members - Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee and Iroha - were formed through the 2023 survival show "R U Next?" "Magnetic," their debut single, was the group's breakout hit and remains the only other Illit video to reach 100 million YouTube views. That video needed roughly four months to get there; "It's Me" did it in under 80 days.
"Not Cute Anymore" has had a longer runway to its 200-million mark, having been out for close to eight months. Its seven straight weeks on Spotify's global Weekly Top Songs chart place it alongside "It's Me" and "Magnetic" as the three Illit singles with the most sustained international streaming presence, according to the group's chart history on Circle and Spotify.
The numbers arrive in the middle of Illit's first Asia concert tour, "Press Start♥︎," which opened in Seoul in March and has since run through Aichi, Osaka and Fukuoka. The group played two nights at Glion Arena Kobe on July 18 and 19, with the Japan leg wrapping at Toyota Arena Tokyo on July 23 and 25-26 before the tour closes in Hong Kong on Aug. 22. Two of Illit's five members, Moka and Iroha, are Japanese nationals, a fact the group's Japan-market press has repeatedly tied to the size of its audience there.
Illit has not announced a follow-up single. For now, the group holds two of the small number of Illit videos to cross 100 million views - and, as of this weekend, both of its two most-streamed singles have separately cleared nine-figure milestones within days of each other.
