BTS member Jin has set a historic benchmark for K-pop solo artists after his July 2025 concerts in Osaka generated unprecedented revenue, according to Billboard's latest chart data.

Record-Breaking Box Score Achievement

Jin's two-night stand at Kyocera Dome on July 12-13 grossed $9.6 million, drawing 82,500 attendees as part of his #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR. The figure marks the highest box score ever achieved by a K-pop solo artist at a single venue, placing 26th on Billboard's Top Boxscores chart.

This achievement ranks as the top box score among all K-pop solo artists, second among all K-pop acts including groups, and third among all K-pop shows in history.

Unprecedented Venue Sellout

What made these performances particularly remarkable was the venue's full capacity utilization. The dome opened every available seat, including the rarely-used 8th floor and restricted-view sections-a configuration even BTS as a complete group hadn't utilized at the same venue. Tickets sold out within 24 hours, with approximately 110,000 fans attempting to secure seats for the two shows.

Japanese concertgoers expressed surprise at the venue opening, with many fans unaware the dome even had an 8th floor.

First Asian Solo Artist on Billboard Top Tours

Beyond the single-venue achievement, Jin made history on Billboard's monthly Top Tours chart for July 2025. He became the first Asian solo artist to rank on this prestigious list, placing 9th overall with $32.5 million in gross revenue from just 12 shows, attracting 217,000 attendees total.

Notably, these figures excluded his Korean and European performances, accounting only for his Japan and US concerts. Jin became the first Asian soloist to surpass both $30 million in monthly touring revenue and 200,000 in attendance.

Global Tour Success

The RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR ran from June 28 through August 10, 2025, covering nine cities with 18 performances across Asia, North America, and Europe. The tour achieved multiple firsts, including becoming the first Korean solo artist to sell out consecutive nights at London's O2 Arena and setting attendance records at Anaheim's Honda Center for K-pop soloists.

International media praised the performances enthusiastically. Rolling Stone UK awarded five stars, while Forbes highlighted Jin's vocal stability across complex high notes and wide range. Paris Match noted his stage presence and genre versatility.

Chart-Topping Album Performance

Jin's second solo album Echo, released May 16, 2025, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200-his highest solo chart position. The album earned 43,000 equivalent units in its first week, with 35,000 in traditional album sales.

The title track "Don't Say You Love Me" achieved the No. 1 position on Spotify's Global chart, making Jin the first Asian artist to top the chart with a 2025 release. The song spent 70 consecutive days in Spotify's Global Top 10, becoming the first and only 2025 song to reach this milestone. It later extended its run to 81 days in the Top 10, setting a 2025 record for longevity and ranking as the fifth longest-charting K-pop song ever in the Global Top 10.

Setting New Standards

Jin's accomplishments throughout his solo tour establish new commercial benchmarks for K-pop solo artists. The combination of record-breaking box scores, historic chart achievements, and sustained streaming success demonstrates the global reach and financial viability of K-pop soloists in today's music industry.
