Jisoo's CLICK Wins First M Countdown Trophy
Jisoo's "CLICK" beat EVAN's "Death of Me" in the final vote on M Countdown on September 17, giving the song its first trophy and Jisoo her second solo music-show win - her first came a year and a half earlier, when "earthquake" topped the same show in February 2025.
Mnet's official X account posted the result with a simple "Congratulations" after episode 946 wrapped. The September 17 broadcast was a special episode built around replays of past performances rather than a live show, but the win announcement went ahead as usual, and the episode still carried one new performance: LE SSERAFIM's "Made My Night," played live on a Korean music show for the first time since the single's September 11 release.
"CLICK," released September 4 through Blissoo and Warner Records, is a dance-pop track built on synth and bass, written by Caroline Ailin, Simon Wilcox, Sir Nolan, Simon Says and Jisoo herself, and produced by Sir Nolan and Simon Says. Its music video, directed by Joseph Kahn and shot in Bangkok, casts Jisoo as the last sentient cyborg in an abandoned amusement park. The single leads Jisoo's upcoming debut full-length solo album, which BLISSOO has not yet dated.
LE SSERAFIM's six-day wait to perform "Made My Night" live in Korea traces back to timing, not reluctance. The single dropped in the middle of the group's Pureflow world tour, which had the five members in Fukuoka for the tour's Japan closer on September 2 and 3 before they crossed the Pacific for the North American leg. They introduced the song to US audiences on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" on September 10, a full week before Korean viewers got their first live look. "Made My Night" is a pop-dance track about a night made memorable by chemistry between two people; its B-side, "AEIOU," was co-written with Kid Milli and sokodomo.
Jisoo's win puts two YG-adjacent solo careers back in the spotlight during the same week: label mate Jennie's "Dracula," a collaboration with Tame Impala, set a Billboard Hot 100 top-10 longevity record for a K-pop act earlier this month. Jisoo's own chart run has been steadier than flashy - "CLICK" arrived without a featured artist, a departure from her Zayn collaboration "Eyes Closed" last October - and Thursday's win is the first hard evidence that the strategy is working on Korean television, not just streaming platforms.
LE SSERAFIM, meanwhile, is still mid-flight. The group heads to Las Vegas for the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 19, three days after their Los Angeles tour stop, with "Made My Night" now confirmed as part of the rotation both on stage and on Korean broadcast.
