MAMAMOO Melbourne Tickets: Jakarta Show Cancelled

MAMAMOO's Jakarta stop on the "4WARD" world tour is cancelled - Anak Krakatau's ongoing eruption forced the group's agency, RBW, to scrap the September 19 NICE PIK 2 show on September 11. Five days later, the tour's next confirmed date is still standing: Melbourne's John Cain Arena on September 22, the quartet's first concert in Australia in their twelve-year career.

RBW cited "unpredictable conditions" tied to the volcano and tightened local safety measures around Jakarta in its cancellation notice, and confirmed that all Jakarta ticket holders will be fully refunded through the original point of purchase. No replacement Indonesia date has been announced.

Tickets Melbourne tickets are on sale now via Live Nation Australia, which routes purchases through AXS, John Cain Arena's ticketing partner. Sydney tickets are on sale via Live Nation Australia, which routes through Ticketek. Both shows finished their Mastercard and Live Nation presales in July and have been in general on-sale since July 16; VIP packages - including a soundcheck experience and a merchandise-only tier - remain listed as available on both Live Nation pages as of this week. Both shows were promoted as MAMAMOO's first-ever Australian concerts when announced.

The Australian leg supports "4WARD," the special single marking Solar, Moon Byul, Whee In and Hwa Sa's first activity as a full group in close to four years. The world tour began in Seoul in June, has since added extra shows in multiple cities to meet demand, and was already headed to Australia before the Jakarta cancellation reshuffled the calendar around it - Melbourne and Sydney were never in doubt, unlike the Southeast Asia leg now sitting in limbo.

From Sydney, "4WARD" continues toward Hong Kong on October 4, Kuala Lumpur on October 10 and Tokyo on October 25, with the Jakarta makeup date, if one comes, still unannounced.
