Korean Mobile Game Publisher Supercent Moves to Lotte World Tower, Targets AI-Powered Growth
South Korean mobile game publisher Supercent has relocated its headquarters to Seoul's prestigious Lotte World Tower as part of an ambitious expansion plan to become a leading AI-driven content technology company. The move comes after 13 straight quarters of revenue growth and signals the company's shift from traditional game publishing to cutting-edge content-tech innovation.
Supercent announced on August 7 that it completed its headquarters move to the 9th floor of Lotte World Tower on August 4. CEO Kong Jun-sik positioned the relocation as a strategic step toward transforming the company from a "simple game development company" to an "AI-based content-tech company that expands content value through technology."
The timing reflects Supercent's impressive market momentum. The company has maintained 13 consecutive quarters of revenue growth and surpassed 100 billion won in cumulative revenue during the first half of 2025. Pizza Ready!, their flagship title, has achieved over 250 million downloads worldwide, while the company's total portfolio exceeds 1.2 billion downloads globally.
Pizza Ready! has generated 230 million downloads according to recent data, making it one of the most successful casual mobile games globally. The game achieved remarkable success with 221 million downloads, with India contributing 23% and the US 7% of total downloads. Snake Clash!, another major hit, has reached 150 million downloads.
According to July 2025 AppMagic data, Supercent ranked among top mobile game publishers by downloads, maintaining over 60 million monthly installs. The company operates more than 100 mobile games, with over 20 titles surpassing 10 million downloads each.
The new 900-pyeong headquarters accommodates 300 employees and features premium amenities including Herman Miller Aeron chairs worth approximately $1,500 each and 4K dual monitors at every workstation. The company invested heavily in creating an optimal work environment with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Seokchon Lake, multiple break rooms, and a gaming lounge equipped with PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Meta Quest systems.
Combined with their existing facility, which will become a "Game Studio" for incubating partner developers, Supercent now has capacity for 400 employees-positioning the company for significant expansion.
Starting late August 2025, Supercent plans large-scale recruitment across all departments including planning, art, development, and marketing. The company aims to hire hundreds of new employees, taking a contrarian approach to industry-wide AI automation trends.
"AI is not a tool to replace people, but a tool that enables faster and broader execution to expand human potential," the company stated. This philosophy drives their belief that enhancing game quality through AI requires more talented individuals to deliver that value to global audiences.
Lotte World Tower stands 555 meters tall with 123 floors, making it the sixth-tallest building in the world. CEO Kong emphasized the strategic location: "Jamsil is concentrated with IT companies like Coupang and Baemin, and Supercent is the only game company here."
The tower's direct connection to Jamsil Station and proximity to Lotte World Mall provides excellent accessibility for employees and partners, supporting the company's work-life balance initiatives.
Supercent's transformation reflects broader shifts in the mobile gaming industry toward AI integration and content technology. The company's "Grow Together" philosophy emphasizes sustainable growth through technology adoption rather than workforce reduction.
Kong stated that "Supercent will expand both game production methods and team capabilities with our unique growth approach to adapt to upcoming market changes." The new headquarters serves as a "global hub for distributing content worldwide" and represents "another growth milestone."
With proven hit games, strong international performance, and significant infrastructure investment, Supercent appears well-positioned for continued expansion. The company's focus on AI-enhanced content creation, combined with aggressive hiring and premium workspace investment, differentiates it from competitors pursuing automation-first strategies.
The Lotte World Tower move represents more than an address change-it symbolizes Supercent's evolution from regional publisher to global content-tech enterprise, equipped with resources and vision necessary to compete at the highest industry levels.
