"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale is just around the corner and, up until now, avid followers of the vampire-themed series are clueless whether or not Nina Dobrev is making a comeback. Now, new reports are claiming that the former girlfriend of Ian Somerhalder could possibly make a return.

The Huffington Post shared that avid watchers of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 should lengthen their patience as they will have to wait longer before finding out if Nina Dobrev is indeed making a comeback.

As of the moment, Nina Dobrev is busy promoting her new film called "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," which also stars "Fast & Furious" actor Vin Diesel. However, fans cannot forget the day when Ian Somerhalder's former girlfriend hinted for her return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

Nina Dobrev admitted she is not allowed to spill the beans on the future of the show. So, instead of giving a direct answer to the queries about her assumed return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, the former ladylove of Ian Somerhalder gave a juicy report.

"I haven't ever told secrets in the past and I'm definitely not going to start now," Nina Dobrev explained about her much-anticipated reunion with Ian Somerhalder in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. "Sorry guys, I'm not allowed to talk about that."

With her statements, fans of Nina Dobrev cannot help but speculate that a reunion with Ian Somerhalder might happen in the last days of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Though these claims could be true, not a single detail has been confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, Poor Primadonna previously reported that even Julie Plec wants to see Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder together again in small screen. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 producer revealed that some other familiar characters will also be coming back on the finale episode.

Both Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have yet to comment on these claims. Stay tuned to Korea Portal for the latest news and updates about "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.
