Kanye West Uses Twitter To Confirm Release Date Of New Album; Wife Kim Also Posts About ‘Swish’
Kanye West finally revealed the release date of his new album, titled "Swish," which will drop this coming Feb. 11.
Kim Kardashian's husband posted the release date on his Twitter account on Jan. 8 without really providing any context, which proved just how much fans are anticipating his new album.
The last time Kanye West referenced about his album was on Dec. 12 last year and he appeared to be miffed when he tweeted, "No offense to anyone... I'm asking everyone DON'T ASK ME FOR ANYTHING TILL AFTER I'M FINISHED WITH MY ALBUM."
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian also took to Twitter with regards to Kanye West's new album.
"Friiiiiiday!!!! New music!!!! #EveryFriday #Swish #RealFriends," she wrote.
Speaking to Real 92.3, as shared by Daily Mail, Kanye West remained coy about his new album, "I don't want to overly describe it or overly try to hype it up."
"It's sounding good. It's like a sonic painting, and it gets better and better every week," he said.
But Kanye West was the first to admit that the work on his new album, "Swish," has been "slow."
Kim Kardashian's husband continued, "I've had a while to work on it. I separated with a couple of the tracks that were on my album that I gave to other people."
"My last album was a protest of music," Kanye West said of "Yeezus." "This album's just embracing the music, embracing joy, and just being of service to the people.
There are no tracks yet to Kanye West's new album but The Verge said that there are songs that have been released before that might make it to "Swish."
The article said, "The rapper's follow-up to 2013's Yeezus hasn't been fully outlined yet, but there's a good chance it'll include songs like 'Real Friends' (released this afternoon), 'FourFiveSeconds,' 'All Day,' 'Wolves,' and 'Fade.' West's been busy on the musical front lately: he also released 'Facts,' a freestyle over Drake & Future's 'Jumpman,' on New Year's Eve."
With the announcement of the release date of his new album, "Swish," hopefully, Kanye West would also share the track lineup soon.
