Coachella 2016 Lineup Announcement Packed With Female Stars!
The Coachella 2016 is remarkably different from the previous event after announcement was made that it will be packed by female stars in the lineup.
In a report by Los Angeles Times, the Coachella 2016 had their announcement that they included in the line-up the big female stars like "Love Me Like You Do" hit maker Ellie Goulding, "Chandelier" singer Sia and beat music star Grimes.
Also in the line-up is Australian rocker Courtney Barnett who have been a Grammy nominee in the best new artist category.
The clamor of more women performance came after Coachella had majority of men in the crowd than women, which was said to have beeb due to less female artists. Last year, only 26 of the nearly 160 artists performing at Coachella were fronted by women.
Despite having more female artists in the lineup announcement for Coachella 2016, the music festival is still fronted by male as Guns N' Roses makes their reunion, with LCD Sound system and music producer Calvin Harris atop the bill, Billboard said.
Breakout artist Halsey, who was featured in Justin Bieber's "Feeling" hit under the album "Purpose," will also make her debut in the festival circuit as well as The Los Angeles beat producer Tokimonsta.
Moreover, French Cuban sisters Ibeyi will make their Coachella debut as they showcase their 2015 album of percussive pop. Also included are the Lebanese-Nigerian house producer Nicole Moudaber and art pop innovator Bat for Lashes.
Other performers also included in the Coachella 2016 lineup announcement were Sufjan Stevens, Jack Ü,Ice Cube, A$AP Rocky, CHVRCHES, Major Lazer, Flume, and Lord Huron and many more.
Meanwhile, the Coachelle 2016 online passes for both weekends-April 15-17 and April 22-24-were already sold in an hour, as reported by Daily Bulletin. The report also added that the music festival has consistently sold out since 2011.
