'Gotham' Season 2 Spoilers: Jim Gordon In Deep Trouble And Might Break Up With Lee Thompkins?
Jim Gordon may have rid his beloved city of psycho Theo Galavan, but according to recent "Gotham" season 2 spoilers, his woes might not be over.
For putting the law into his own hands, the detective will find himself at odds with the Gotham City Police Department.
"He's certainly compromised," executive producer Bruno Heller said as per TV Guide. "He's stepped over that moral line. Jim Gordon has made a terrible mistake, which he's going to pay for."
Theo Galavan, played by James Frain, was the major villain in the first half of the Batman prequel TV series from Fox. He and Gordon (Ben McKenzie) were in good terms at the start as he masqueraded his true intentions by initially revealing his noble plans for Gotham.
However, Jim slowly discovered the truth that he has a diabolic plan behind all his good deeds. He even drove Jim's ex-girlfriend, Barbara (Erin Richards), crazy and used her as an accessory to his evil plans.
Speaking of ex-girlfriend, it seems Jim will also have another "former lover", all because of what he just did. He and Lee Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) might find themselves uncomfortable with each other when "Gotham" season 2 mid-season premiere airs.
"The biggest price he will pay is in his relationship with Lee Tompkins," Heller said when pressed for further "Gotham" season 2 spoilers. "Jim's essentially an honest man, so the need to have honest relationships does betray him in the end."
"Gotham" season 2 theme will continue in the second half, dubbed "Rise of the Villains." And among the new antagonists are Dr. Freeze, Clayface and Mad Hatter. The Court of Owl will also continue its evil activities in the season.
In earlier "Gotham" season 2 spoilers, Sean Pertwee, who plays Alfred Pennyworth, gave fans something to be excited about. He said the second half of the current season will not disappoint.
"It's a different season," Pertwee told Press Association. "It's less standalone episodically compared to the last season. There are bigger story arcs of four or five episodes so you'll get interaction with a lot of the characters now," he promised.
"It feels cinematic, it's got a confident gait now. You won't be disappointed - we're very, very, proud of it."
