'Sleepy Hollow' Season 3 Update: Will Frank Irving Return? Enemies In The New Season Revealed
In the preceding episodes of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3, one of the main characters, Frank Irving, played by Orlando Jones, was missing. While some fans think that the actor is no longer part of the third season, there have been several rumors that claimed the former captain may possibly return to the show as a guest star.
When Jones was asked about his possible comeback to the hit supernatural drama series, the actor said that he would gladly return and wouldn't mind taking a shot as a guest star.
"Maybe they would ask me to come back, and I would love to do a guest appearance. It would be awesome to do a guest appearance on Sleepy Hollow." he explained.
Though he may have left his fans wondering whether or not he will appear in the following episodes of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 as the show returns for its finale season, most viewers have already lost their hopes for the actor's return.
"I don't think Capt. Irving is coming back," Jones said, as quoted in Screencrush. "What led to me leaving was they changed the show."
He added, "I think the creators are awesome guys and they just didn't really see a place for Frank Irving in that world and I get that, you know? Chances are, I won't come back because they kind of asked me to leave."
Orlando Jones was part of the series for two straight years, and during the premiere of season 3, it was shown that Captain Frank Irving left the town with his whole family.
When the show producers were asked about Jones' exit, one of them, Cliff Campbell, said, "For a handful of reasons, it became difficult to schedule and to make it work out."
Despite Jones' exit, "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 is ongoing with reports claiming that the show surely has more to offer in the upcoming episodes to be aired in February.
Moreover, the recent spoilers hinted that the legendary Jersey Devil will be seen in the second half of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 as one of Ben Franklin's enemies, according to Design&Trend.
The spoilers added that the demon-like creature is Dr. Japeth Leeds played by Charles Aitken, who turned himself into a devil after his dark arts experiment failed.
As the mid-season premiere comes closer to hitting TV once again, fans are already on the lookout for what might be in store in the new episode. "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 airs on Friday, February 5 on FOX.
