Kate Gosselin Overcontrolling Her Kids? Mom Of Eight Denies Claims, Speaks Up About Recent Events!
Kate Gosselin visibly micromanaged her kids in the latest episode of their reality show, "Kate Plus 8." According to a report from Us Weekly, the TV personality was quick to explain the way she acted during their recent family day.
The TLC reality star recently planned a special day of activities for her eight children: 15-year old twins Mady and Cara and 11-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel.
The event was documented in the "Kate Plus 8" episode entitled "Deck Party," which the single mom said was meant to make her children feel special.
"One of the hardest struggles of having so many kids is to carve out special time," the mom explained about her children's activity-packed day. "You only get so many weeks in a given summer, and the kids have never forgotten those 'special days' we did."
"I don't do enough of it because there is a lot going on," she said about wanting to organize more activity days with her children.
However, it was evident throughout the "Kate Plus 8" episode how Kate Gosselin meddled with her kids' every move - from her sons' magic show, to her daughters' spa date.
The ex-wife of Jon Gosselin denied that she was being overly controlling.
"I wasn't micromanaging for the fun of meddling," she explained. "I was trying to look out for their best interests, so I could help them!"
"Your greatest critics are your family," the mom reasoned to her kids.
Prior to news about micromanaging her children, the controversial celebrity mom has long been accused of being too strict.
Radar Online reported about her alleged leaked private journal, wherein the reality star is supposedly admitted to hurting her children.
An entry dated 2006 detailed how she spanked a then five-year-old Mady.
"Mady was grouchy and received a few spankings with the spanker that newly joined the emergency supply stash in the big blue bus!" Kate Gosselin allegedly wrote, with the "spanker" referring to the wooden spoon used to hit her kids.
Another entry was about how Kate Gosselin allegedly threw a then two-year-old Leah into the bath for soiling herself while napping.
"The poor little thing was shaking with coldness or fear," she allegedly wrote.
Following news about her kids, Kate Gosselin also supposedly got mad at then two-year-old Collin for knocking down three highchairs to the floor. "I grabbed him and spanked him as hard as I could," the entry read. "I thought I may seriously injure him so I sent him to his crib and whipped him into it very hard!"
