Ben Higgins Unhappy With ‘The Bachelor’ 2016? Search For Love ‘Taxing?’
"The Bachelor" 2016 star Ben Higgins is the envy of most men as 28 pretty ladies are all vying for his love and affection. But the business analyst describes his experience during a guest appearance at "Jimmy Kimmel Live" as far from being fun.
During the interview, Jimmy Kimmel asked him about his experience in the ABC reality show.
Ben Higgins replied, "I don't know if I'd catalogue it as fun."
It's taxing, emotionally you get sucked up in everything and everyone's nervous....fun is not the word," he explained. "Every good thing you try to do hurts someone else."
Indeed, stressed would be an understatement to describe the pressure that Ben Higgins is going through in finding the right girl for him, when the whole world's attention is focused on his every move in "The Bachelor."
In a blog post exclusive for People, however, Ben Higgins gushed about his experience for "The Bachelor" 2016.
"I have never written about a night where I met 28 amazingly beautiful women. This experience is just too surreal to be real," he wrote. "And even sitting here today, having lived it all and watched the first night on TV, I can't believe it actually all happened."
Ben Higgins also clarified his previous statement where he expressed his apprehension of being "unlovable" in "The Bachelor" 2016.
"When I say that I worry about being unlovable, it doesn't mean I think I am some awful person or have no self-confidence or that I don't have people that love me in my life or anything like that," the 27-year-old said. "But in my experience in relationships so far, it has felt like I have been more invested in the relationship than the person I was dating at the time."
That's the reason why Ben Higgins is apprehensive about finding love in "The Bachelor" 2016.
"I've had my heart broken," he explained. "So until I am with someone that loves me wholly and gives themselves to me as fully as I give myself to them, it can be hard for me to know that that can happen for me."
