'Downtown Abbey' Season 6 Spoilers: Mary To Cross Paths With Henry Once Again? Episode 2 Synopsis Released

As the hit British period drama television series "Downtown Abbey" season 6 comes closer to the finish line, there have been several spoilers about what might be in store for the characters in the new season.

The new spoilers suggested that two characters romantically related in the past are fated to meet once again on the aftermath of the season 5 finale. According to Breathecast, Lady Mary Crawley, played by Michelle Dockery, will cross paths with her past love Henry Talbot, played by Matthew Goode.

Though the 34-year-old actress confirmed Talbot's return to Mary's life in the new season, she added that the reunion will be as complicated as it always was. Besides dropping hints about Mary and Henry's possible reunion, rumor has it that the finale season will come into view with a pack of troubles to different characters.

According to the new synopsis, the upstairs and downstairs residents will unfortunately have themselves engaged in troubles in the second episode of "Downton Abbey." Moreover, the love affair of the two characters Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Carson played by Phyllis Logan and Jim Carter was also highlighted following the characters' awkward sex talk during the first episode.

The first episode turns out to be a cliffhanger for Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Carson's love story. The spoilers suggested that while Mrs. Hughes gets herself ready to set a date for their wedding, an unknown wedding planner will come in the way to mess up with her picture-perfect wedding plans.

On the other hand, other characters including Anna and Edith are also said to be dealing with their own problems in the new episode. According to the synopsis, Edith takes a trip with her daughter Marigold but would unfortunately end up dealing with some troubles along the way.

Anna on the other hand, played by Joanne Froggatt, will try to figure out if she could still have the kind of future that she has always dreamed of. Also, the synopsis added that Anna will soon find out if her miscarriages would mean she won't be able to have children in the future.

Show's executive producer Julian Fellowes, who had lined up around 52 episodes of the tv series, said that his team originally planned to finish the show at the fifth season. However, they later decided to extend the series until the sixth season due to the viewers' demand.

"Downton Abbey" season 6 airs every Sundays at 9 p.m on PBS.
