NBA Trade Rumors: Troubled Forward Markieff Morris Gets Cleveland Cavaliers' Attention
If there is one hole in Cleveland Cavaliers' squad, it is on the power forward position. After Kevin Love, who sometimes work as center as well, there is no more to get scoring from for the Lebron James-lead team. Cavs will address that problem soon and as per latest NBA trade rumors, they will do that by turning to a troubled power forward from the Western Conference.
Markieff Morris, who just last week was suspended for throwing a towel to his head coach, is reportedly getting interest from Cavs management.
"It's not simply about LeBron James, but more about the overall defense and offense setup and strategy of the Cavs when playing against the Golden State Warriors," NBA trade rumors from Movie News Guide revealed.
"The Cavs need something else. And according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, Markieff Morris of the Phoenix Suns is that "something else" as he may boost the Cavs' ability to effectively win against the Warriors next time they meet on the court."
Markieff is a serviceable big man. However, this season, it seems his mind is not in the game as he average career lows in points and rebounds. Before the start of the season, he publicly demanded a trade out of Phoenix Suns after the team sent his twin brother Marcus to Detroit Pistons..
Suns and Markieff were able to iron out the mess but his ill temper got in the way again when he and coach head coach Jeff Hornacek had a heated argument, according to Sports Illustrated.
He reportedly threw the towel to his coach, forcing the office to suspend him for two games.
In a Twitter post, He has since then apologized for his actions saying, "My frustration got the best of me last night. It won't happen again. I apologize to Jeff. My teammates told me I hit coach with the towel."
Wil lthis NBA trade rumor materialize? Will Lebron and the Cavs gamble on Markieff Morris? More details will soon be reported
