‘Harry Potter’s' Emma Watson And Daniel Radcliffe Impress Fans; Different Projects Lined Up!
"Harry Potter" stars Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe are starting their 2016 right with numerous projects planned.
The two were first known as the most brilliant young wizards in the "Harry Potter" film series based on J.K. Rowling's seven-part novel.
And years after the film that made them famous wrapped up with it's last movie, the two young stars continue to impress fans all over the world.
At the first turn of the year 2016, Watson did one thing that Hermione Granger would do - defend the choice of the "Harry Potter & The Cursed Child" play's casting directors after drawing criticism over casting African American actress, Noma Dumezweni, to play the role of Hermione Granger.
"Can't wait to see Noma Dumezweni as Hermione on stage this year. #harrypotterandthecursedchild #2016," the actress wrote on Twitter.
Her tweet comes after social media users openly criticized and even made racist remarks towards Noma Dumezweni and the people behind the "Harry Potter & The Cursed Child" casting choice. The book's author, J.K. Rowling herself, gave a nod of approval for casting a Black actress, pointing out that the books never specifically described Hermione as Caucasian.
"Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione," Rowling wrote on Twitter.
Aside from Emma Watson, another "Harry Potter" alum is making Potterheads everywhere proud. Daniel Radcliffe, who played "the cursed child" himself in the phenomenal film franchise is also being applauded for something else - for learning the value of money despite being ultra-famous already.
According to reports, the actor currently has over $100 million to his name, thanks to his parents helping him manage his assets early in his career. Aside from that, "The Boy Who Lived" knows how to save up. According to Mirror UK, Radcliffe now has nearly £60 million (about $80 million) in savings.
Despite having a dull year in the box office, with "Victor Frankenstein" turning out to be a flop, Daniel Radcliffe's assets, including his bank accounts and properties are worth around £69 million or $100 million in total.
Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe seem to be doing everything right post-"Harry Potter."
