NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations announced that "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" was renewed and will be on the air until at least 2020 ) in a deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
"The Ellen DeGeneres Show" features celebrity guests, musical performances, sketches and dancing. The Telepictures Productions talkshow has been on the air since 2003. The Ellen DeGeneres Show which has received 55 Daytime Emmy Awards, has established itself as a leading generator of viral content, scoring the highest digital rating in 2015 with 2.5 billion engagements, according to ListenfFirst. It is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
"For more than a decade, 'Ellen' has anchored the daytime lineups of the NBC-owned stations, offering our viewers a great afternoon show, delivering a strong lead in for our early evening newscasts and helping to launch new hits," said Valari Staab, president of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations.
Warner Bros.' previous agreement for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" with NBC stations ran through the 2016-17 season.
"Day in and day out Ellen delivers the best show on television. Ellen and her team produce a completely unique and exciting hour, which is appointment television for viewers everywhere," Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution TV president Ken Werner, said in a statement.
"The Ellen DeGeneres Show" is produced by A Very Good Production and WAD Productions, Inc. in association with Telepictures.

NBCUni confirmed today that Meredith Vieira's talk show, which airs at 2 p.m. on NBC stations, will end after its current second season.
