UFC 195: Lawler v Condit

Sporting fans and mixed martial arts practitioners were treated with an absolute classic battle in Las Vegas between Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit in UFC 195.

After the results of five hard-hitting rounds, it was reported that Carlos Condit may be retiring after losing in the fight card, according to sources.

The result of the UFC 195 title match between Carlos Condit and Robbie Lawler delivered one of the Fight of the Year candidate, where after 25 grueling minutes, Lawler was able to defend his title by earning two out of three 448-47 scorecards to take the split decision at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, as reported by MMA Fighting.

When asked in an interview if Carlos Condit did everything in the UFC 195 title match against Robbie Lawler, he said, "obviously not," courtesy of MMA Fighting on SBN.

"I got to go back and watch it, I don't know, I have a weird perspective on it," he added.

After being asked on how close the former WEC and interim UFC welterweight champion is from retiring, Carlos Condit mentioned that after the result of his match in UFC 195, it may be his last.

"Could be," he said in the interview. "There's a good possibility that this is my last fight. This was my last fight," he added.

"I'm happy with what I have done in my career; I've come farther than I have ever imagined that I would in this sport. I've always fought my ass off and tonight was no different... We'll see," he further added.

Moreover, the result of the UFC 195 co-main event fight card between Stipe Miocic and former titleholder Andrei Arlovski was equally impressive, wherein the former dominated Arlovski, as stated by Bloody Elbow.

As such, the result of Miocic's UFC 195 victory in the heavyweight fight card prompted UFC President Dana White to announce that he will get the next title shot against the prevailing fighter between Fabricio Werdum versus Cain Velasquez II in the upcoming UFC 196, courtesy of the source.
