Raven-Symone And Azmarie Livingston Relationship: Actress Faces Backlash After The Controversial Breakup?
Actress and model Raven-Symone, who had split from her girlfriend of three years AzMarie Livingston in late October, is rumored to be facing a backlash following their controversial breakup.
Not too long after one insider who was allegedly close to the former couple revealed that the two had finally called it quits, the separation immediately made rounds with several rumors surrounding Symone.
While none of them clearly stated the exact reasons why they decided to end things, rumor has it that Symone's too straightforward attitude might be one of the reasons.
Besides hardly dealing with the split up, it seems like she has more important matters to deal with after she consecutively received various criticisms for speaking up her mind even if sometimes it's already out of the line.
In fact, Symone has enraged many viewers of the Emmy Award winning talk show "The View" wherein she has officially taken part of after several guest-hosting, when she said she would never hire someone with a "ghetto" name.
"I'm not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea," she said to her quite surprised co-hosts, according to Perez Hilton. "It's just not going to happen. I'm not going to hire."
Though her co-hosts were quick to change the subject after realizing that she had brought the conversation a little too far, she wasn't able to escape a massive backlash and was heavily labelled as racist by many social media users.
"I'm tired of being labelled," Raven said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. "I'm an American. I'm not an African-American. I'm an American."
She continued, "I have darker skin. I have a nice interesting grade of hair. I connect with Caucasian. I connect with Asian. I connect with black. I connect with Indian. I connect with each culture."
AzMarie Livingston, on the other hand, has been reportedly doing well after the breakup and has remained optimistic on her outlook in life.
Raven-Symone first acknowledged her same-sex relationship in 2014. In 2015, she had formally introduced AzMarie Livingston as her partner.
