Rumors have it that Selena Gomez and Niall Horan continued dating on New Year's Eve.

After spending the Christmas holidays apart, the 23-year-old "Same Old Love" singer and the One Direction member were rumored to have welcomed 2016 in Costa Rica, a report from Inquisitr said.

Fans of the couple went crazy with the speculations that the two might have jetted off to Central America when the renowned restaurant Hard Rock Cafe Guana took to Twitter to confirm their warm welcome for the "Same Old Love" hit maker.

"Hey @selenagomez Welcome to Guanacaste," they said in their tweet.

Justin Bieber's ex-flame was said to have been spotted in the province of Guanacaste while skinny dipping in the local beach.

Selena Gomez was spotted with pals Samuel Krost and Joel and Esther Houston for her beach getaway.

Despite non-confirmation from Niall Horan that he was also with the actress and singer, fans suspected that the hit maker is just being private on their whereabouts.

He said in his tweet that he was "currently really enjoying doing nothing," as he added that he was "just chilling out for a while is good."

Selena Gomez and Niall Horan had to halt their dating last Christmas holiday to spend time with their respective families. However, the One Direction member made sure that he will leave something for the "I Want You To Know" singer even when they are apart.

"Before Selena and Niall went their separate ways for Christmas, he wrapped up one of his favorite white t-shirts and gave it to Selena to sleep in," an insider told Irish Times through a report from Hollywood Life. "[Selena] always told him how much she loves the way he smells, so he doused the shirt with his cologne. Niall told her to wear his shirt whenever she misses him. It's a super sweet gift."
