After Avril Lavigne Divorce, Chad Kroeger Now Battling With An Insurance Company?
After dealing announcing his divorce from Avril Lavigne, Chad Kroeger is now facing a case against an insurance company after not being able to disclose his throat condition.
According to a report from TMZ, the 41-year-old Nickelback frontman is sued by their insurance company Lloyd's of London after failing to disclose his pre-existing condition.
Chad Kroeger, who had his divorce with Avril Lavigne last September, was reported to had a cyst on his vocal chords, which led to the cancellation of about 60 concerts.
The Daily Mail said that the "How You Remind Me" singer had filed a $13 million claim with the Nickelback's insurance to cover their losses. However, the insurance company claimed that Chad Kroeger already knew about his condition before tying up with them.
"Documents allegedly prove that the star - who underwent surgery to remove the cyst in July - had the condition before getting the Lloyd's of London policy, but simply never disclosed it," the report said. "The insurance company is now suing to cancel their policy with the band."
The band announced in July that they had to cancel the concerts from their No Fixed Address tour, as they apologize for the sudden notice.
"I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans," he wrote in the band's official website. "I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible."
A month after, Chad Kroeger also announced his divorce from Avril Lavigne whom he married in 2013. The Canadian rock star princess, who also had her share of dealing with lyme disease last year, took to Instagram to confirm their break-up.
