Mission Impossible 6 Release Rumors: Direction To Be Different? Director Speaks Up!

According to Crossmap, rumors have it that although there are no release date set yet, the director of the highly successful "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" Christopher McQuarrie wants the next "Mission Impossible" sequel to look different. That said, the rumors have been confirmed that McQuarrie is on board for the sixth installment of the franchise. The news has been confirmed by himself on one of his tweets: "Mission Accepted #MI6." In an interview with Slash Film, McQuarrie said that his "desire as a filmmaker is to always be a better filmmaker than I was on the previous film. I'm not a filmmaker interested in stasis." Release date rumors aside, he also shared his opinion on the direction of the "Mission Impossible 6" sequel. "I really want to grow and push myself. I think if you look at the three films I've done - from The Way of the Gun to Jack Reacher to Mission: Impossible - I think it's very clear there's a distinct voice that runs through them, and they're each sort of expanding, in terms of the storytelling and use of technology," he said.

"I'm learning on each movie the mysteries of this technical craft or that technical craft. I had things I specifically learned from this movie I want to apply to the next," he added. "I gotta imagine it'll look different. Let's put it this way: if it looks the same, I'll be disappointed."

Fans will be delighted to know that actress Rebecca Ferguson will be included in the cast of "Mission Impossible 6," according to iSchoolGuide. Ferguson will be portray her role again as Isla Faust in the sixth installment. Reports also say that fans of the franchise are super excited for the next sequel.

Apart from Ferguson, Tom Cruise is also set to come back as Ethan Hunt in the movie. "Mission Impossible 6" has no release date yet but there are rumors that the filming will start some time in summer of 2016.
