'Star Wars: Battlefront' New PS4 Update: 'The Force Awakens' Release Date In China Delayed?
A "Star Wars: Battlefront" update was scheduled for release, Wednesday and a handful of changes are being made on PS4 and Xbox One, according to Express.
PC players will see only one issue resolved and one of the reasons why "Battlefront" was met with mixed reviews after its November release, is the lack of a single-player campaign. This overshadowed the game's epic maps and excellent multiplayer.
Star Wars fans have reported a number of problems and EA DICE is hoping that the latest patch will make the game more accessible.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has opened up this weekend in most parts of the world and EA made sure that fans would go home and play Battlefront, revealed VG24/7.
To celebrate the film's release, throughout the weekend and on all platforms, fans will earn double XP in "Star Wars: Battlefront." The game will turn earned scores into credits, which means players will earn double the amount.
The "Double Score Weekend" started at 1 a.m. PST and will end on Monday, Dec. 21 at 1 a.m. PST, reported Gamespot.
"No matter how many times you're planning on watching the movie this weekend, there will be plenty of time to take advantage," said the developer in a blog post.
Recently, the "Star Wars: Battlefront" inspired "Battle of Jakku" which is set 29 years before the new movie's events, was released for free. This is for all Xbox One, PC and PS4 players.
Meanwhile, it may be tough to be a "Star Wars" fan in Beijing because the latest addition to the series won't be showing in theaters across China until Jan. 9. This means, there is a lot of room to stumble upon spoilers in social media, relayed CNN.
The delay in the release date comes down to the Chinese government. Beijing's cultural authorities decide what foreign films are shown in China and they also choose the release date.
