Paris Terror Attacks Alleged Suspect Arrested By French Police; Man Detained In High-Security Cell
French authorities have arrested a 29-year-old man Tuesday who is allegedly one of the suspects of the Paris terror attacks that killed 130 people and injured hundreds of individuals last November 13.
Al Jazeera reported on the same day that the alleged suspect was arrested in Villiers-sur-Marne after a police raid was conducted by the French authorities. The said police raid is part of the immense investigation following the multiple attacks in Paris last month.
Reports have revealed that the alleged suspect in now detained in a high-security cell and is under formal criminal investigation, according to a judicial source.
In addition, 360 individuals have been placed under house arrest within France after 2,700 police and special forces raids were carried out, as reported by Daily Mail Tuesday.
Further reports have revealed that eight alleged suspects of the Paris attacks have been arrested in Belgium. As of the moment, police authorities are still pursuing a certain Salah Abdeslam, who allegedly has direct involvement with the terror attacks.
On the other hand, people from all over France gathered at the Place de la Republique to memorialize the death of 130 people a month after the incident, while others gathered in front of the Bataclan concert hall where 89 people were slain.
"It is fascinating, we are still marked, but life goes on and we should show that we are here and that we continue to live and that we don't hide," said Mireille Augusti, as noted by CBS News Dec. 13.
An anti-terrorism consultant said over 20 individuals can be linked in Paris terror attacks last month.
"Probably more than 20 individuals involved in one way or another to provide logistics, support, transportation, financing for this network," said Jean Charles Brisard.
Brisard went on, "We need around 20 to 30 agents to follow 24 hours a day on a single individuals."
