Amazon Prime Alcohol Delivery Will Be Up Until Christmas Eve!; Order Delay Reason Revealed!

Amazon Prime announced on Thursday that they will offer fast delivery of alcohol beverages such as beer and wine within the city of Manhattan in a time span of one hour.  This service will be available until Christmas Eve.

The head of Amazon Prime Now, Stephanie Landry said in a statement during an interview with Re/code that the company is making a way for them to deliver adult drinks to customers residing in over 20 locations. The company was taking its time to implement the new service and was being careful in following the local regulations, according to Tech Times.

The representative revealed that the company had acquired a liquor license in Seattle but haven't yet in New York City. In this case, the company exploit the goods to retailers that has the permit to reach their customers in Manhattan.

Amazon Prime's alcohol delivery will be available for customers who were subscribed to the $99 membership each year. The one hour arrival of goods will be charged $7.99 and free for two-hour window for the subscribers. The transaction can be done using the company's mobile app, according to CBS New York.

The service offered was reported to function from 6 a.m until 12 a.m for seven days. However, a customer shared their experience that they ordered six-pack of Stella Artois at the opening time however, the app said that it was  "Unavailable." The reason for the delay claims the partnership of the company to retailer stores that has different working hours, according to New York Post.

Instead of the announced maximum of two hour window delivery it might take up to four hours as reported depending on the opening time of a certain store. Some of the retailers open in 10 a.m, so it was advised that customers may need to check on the store hours in the app to know how fast will it take for them to get their order.
