Dungeon Fighter Mobile SAO Collaboration: New Avatars, Events & Rewards Guide 2025

Nexon's mobile hit Dungeon Fighter Mobile has launched its Sword Art Online crossover event, bringing beloved anime characters to the action RPG through September 18, 2025.
The update introduces 22 character avatars from the Sword Art Online universe, including fan favorites Kirito, Asuna, and Silica. Each of Dungeon Fighter Mobile's 11 character classes now features both standard and SAO Classic avatar variants.
Players can also collect SAO-themed creatures, titles, and cosmetic items featuring characters like Lisbeth, Suguha, and Yui.
The collaboration adds interactive elements beyond cosmetics:
- Town interactions: Chat with Asuna to earn event currency
- Dungeon hunting: Defeat special Ragu Rabbit enemies for rewards
- Event shop: Exchange currency for Epic Souls, 10 Million Gold Chests, and Multidimensional Cube Fragments
7-Day Login Bonus
- SAO Chat Sticker Boxes
- SAO Creature Selection Boxes
- Catalysts and other premium items
SUMMER UP! Growth Event
- 200% bonus experience for all characters except max level
- Applies to monster kills, missions, and dungeon completions
The timing aligns with Dungeon Fighter Mobile's unprecedented success. Nexon reported record 2024 revenue of ¥446.2 billion ($3 billion), with the mobile version driving massive growth in China.
The Chinese version alone generated nearly $2.5 billion since launching in May 2024, making it one of the most successful mobile game launches in that market's history.
The SAO crossover leverages this momentum, combining two popular gaming properties to attract both existing players and anime fans to the platform.
The collaboration runs until September 18, 2025. Players can access new content through the game's regular update system, with events available immediately upon logging in.

The Sword Art Online collaboration represents Nexon's continued investment in content partnerships that drive player engagement across its most profitable mobile title.
