Park Bo-gum Wins Over Belle's Mother as KISS OF LIFE Singer Reveals Family's Matchmaking Dreams

KISS OF LIFE member Belle made hearts flutter with an adorable confession about actor Park Bo-gum during her appearance on KBS 2TV's "The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile" on June 13.
Belle, the 21-year-old daughter of veteran singer Shim Shin, revealed that her mother has been actively rooting for Park Bo-gum as a potential son-in-law. "Recently, my mom texted me saying, 'Bring home a guy like Park Bo-gum as my son-in-law. He's perfect!'" Belle shared, causing laughter in the studio.
When Park Bo-gum playfully responded, "How could she not know me?" Belle became visibly flustered, shouting "Don't look at me! I'm sorry!" while avoiding eye contact.
True to his gentlemanly reputation, Park Bo-gum immediately turned to the camera and greeted Belle's mother directly: "Mother, hello. This is Park Bo-gum sending my regards." The spontaneous gesture delighted viewers and left Belle predicting her mother would be "grinning from ear to ear."
The interaction took an interesting turn when Belle, an accomplished songwriter behind hits like LE SSERAFIM's "Unforgiven," expressed interest in writing music for Park Bo-gum. Originally planning to mention wanting to write for KISS OF LIFE, she admitted her heart changed after meeting the actor, specifically suggesting a rock song collaboration.
Park Bo-gum graciously responded, "I'll practice well. Maybe someday when the opportunity comes."
The episode featured an impressive guest lineup including Japanese pianist Yuki Kuramoto, who collaborated with Park Bo-gum on "Romance" from the 2005 film "A Bittersweet Life." In a playful segment referencing his current drama "Good Boy," Park Bo-gum asked Kuramoto to improvise music representing unrequited love emotions.
"The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile" marked a milestone as Park Bo-gum became the first actor to host the popular KBS music talk show. The show, which premiered in March 2025, has been praised for his natural hosting abilities and genuine guest interactions.
Belle, whose real name is Shim Hye-won, has emerged as a prominent young talent both as KISS OF LIFE's main vocalist and as a songwriter who has worked with major K-pop acts. Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum's current drama "Good Boy" has been receiving positive reviews for his action role alongside Kim So-hyun.
The charming exchange between Belle and Park Bo-gum quickly became a fan favorite moment, showcasing the warm, familial atmosphere that has made "Cantabile" a beloved addition to "The Seasons" franchise.
