BTS Member Jungkook Donated 1 Billion Won to Children’s Hospital
It was reported that BTS member Jungkook recently made a donation of 1 Billion Won to Seoul National University Children's Hospital, in which is intended to help children suffering from various illnesses and to support their families.
Through the statement of Seoul National University Children's Hospital, Jungkook expressed that, "I hope that it will be of some help to children who are suffering, and I will support them so that they can smile healthily."
Jungkook debuted in the music industry in June 2013, being one of the members of the popular K-pop group BTS. Since then, they have donated millions to various charities. He will also be making his official solo debut soon.
BTS donated 100 million to the 416 Families Council in January 2017 as a way to support the bereaved families of the Sewol ferry disaster. Also in that same year, together with their talent company Big Hit Music, they donated 5.9 billion won to the #EndViolence campaign to eradicate violence against youth and children, in cooperation with the UNICEF Korean Committee. They also donated in 2020 in relation to the pandemic, the "BLACK LIVE MATTER" movement, and to Live Nation.
