BTS Officially Received 5MILLION Certification by Circle Chart
Recently, the first round of certifications for November have been released by Circle Chart (known formally as Gaon chart). The ceritifcations recognize artists certified in album sales and streaming. It comes to no surprise that popular K-pop boy group BTS achieved the 5MILLION certification from the chart for their best-selling album Map of the Soul: 7. This is another achievement for the popular K-pop group that still continues to dominate the music industry with their songs.
Aside from BTS, BLACKPINK's hit album BORN PINK received a 2MILLION certification this month, while TOMORROW x TOGETHER's The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE album and NCT 127's album 2 Baddies received the 1MILLION certifications. K-pop girl group aespa's Savage also received a Triple Platinum certification from the charts for surpassing more than 750,000 copies.
It was reported that BTS member Jin has submitted a notice to cancel his military postponement. According to a recent report dated November 4, he submitted his military postponement notice to the Military Manpower Association. As of press time, the group's talent management HYBE has not yet released a statement regarding this.
If these reports are confirmed, it could mean that Jin, as well the other BTS members in the future are now eligible to be called to enlist to the military at any time. Jin's enlistment to the Korean military was postponed previously until December 31, 2022 Korea Standard Time.
BTS was a talk of the town after it was confirmed that the group's members will be enlisted for military service. Korean music and talent company HYBE has officially announced that the first member to be enlisted is Jin who is the eldest member of the popular 7-member boy group.
Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup and Culture Minister Park Go Gyun said in a statement previously that "it is desirable" for the members of BTS to accomplish their military duties to make sure that there is fairness in South Korea's military service.
