On the 16th of March KST, NCT's label SM Entertainment updated NCTzens (the fandom name of NCT) through a statement that NCT Dream's very own Chenle, had suffered an ankle injury, to the sadness of netizens and K-pop fans.

Notably, this occurred during the K-pop boy group's preparation for their upcoming comeback with their second studio album "Glitch Mode." NCT Dream's Chenle is currently receiving treatment for his ankle.

Furthermore, SM Entertainment went on to add that NCT Dream's Chenle will be focusing on his ankle recovery. But, the K-pop idol will continue to join promotional activities for the "Glitch Mode" album for as long as he does not push himself too far.

Thus, SM Entertainment also asks netizens and fans for their understanding due to the circumstances that befell their K-pop artist. If NCT Dream's Chenle goes overboard, he will understandably be asked to take a rest.

"NCT Chenle had recently sustained an injury to his left ankle while preparing for NCT Dream's second studio album and is currently receiving treatment for it. As the artist's health is our top priority, we hoped to have Chenle focus on recovering from his injury. 

However, Chenle expressed his strong intention to meet fans and participate in the album's promotions. And so we have decided that he will be participating in the scheduled activities as long as he does not overexert himself. 

However, we would like to ask for your understanding in advance that it will be difficult for Chenle to participate in performances which require excessive movement, and we promise to do our best so that our artist can recover and show you a healthy image as soon as possible."
