Kim Woo Bin Is Starring In The Upcoming Netflix Original Series ‘Courier’
Actors Kim Woo Bin and Esom to meet in Netflix's new original series "Courier."
Netflix announced on the 12th that Kim Woo Bin, Esom, and Kang Yoo Seok would appear as the lead roles in the new series "Courier" directed by Choi Ui Seok.
Director Choi Ui Seok is known for his works such as "Master," "Cold Eyes," and "The World of Silence." 'Courier" will also be the first project between director Choi Ui Seok and actor Kim Woo Bin after 5 years.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, "Courier" is a dystopian story that takes place as a courier emerges as the only hope for refugees in the future Korean Peninsula, where it is impossible to live without a respirator due to extreme air pollution.
Kim Woo Bin plays the legendary delivery driver called "5-8" with extraordinary combat power.
"Courier" is Kim Woo Bin's comeback drama after six years. The actor last starred alongside Suzy for the drama "Uncontrollably Fond." Aside from "Courier," Kim Woo Bin is also cast to star in the upcoming Netflix series "Our Blue."
In addition, Kim Woo Bin will also join Ryu Joon Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, Lee Ha Nee, So Ji Sun, and Jo Woo Jin for the upcoming movie "Alien + People."
On the other hand, Kang Yoo-seok plays Sa Wol, a refugee who dreams of becoming a delivery driver, while Esom plays Seol Ah, a military intelligence officer, who is Sa Wol's lifesaver. Esom's character Seol Ah has the goal of becoming the Minister of National Defense.
The upcoming drama "Courier" will be Esom's newest project after her hit 2021 K-drama "Taxi Driver," which is in talks to have its second season soon. Esom is fully booked as she is also set to star in the upcoming movies "Kill Bok Soon" and "Single in Seoul."
