Six years into their successful run in the K-Pop industry TWICE remains to be the best-selling girl group.

Despite one of its members, Jeongyeon, not being able to join all group activities, TWICE's 2021 is marked with numerous releases in South Korea, Japan, and the United States. In South Korea alone, TWICE released 1 mini-album, "Taste of Love," and 1 full album, "Formula of Love: O+T=<3," in 2021.

TWICE's 2021 releases saw huge sales making the "Scientist" singers the best-selling K-Pop girl group of the year. TWICE sold over 1.6 million units in total and is the only girl group to surpass over 1 million combined sales in 2021.

Meanwhile, TWICE's fellow JYP Entertainment girl group, ITZY, took the second spot. The 3-year-old K-Pop girl group sold over 934.4k units and is the best-selling 4th-generation girl group of the year.
