VERIVERY Cancels Remaining US Tour Schedule After Member Yongseung Tests Positive For COVID-19
K-Pop boy group VERIVERY cancels its remaining concert schedule in the United Stated after member Yongseung test positive for COVID-19.
VERIVERY's agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, announced the news on December 18, saying, "Verivery member Yong Seung-goon was confirmed with Corona 19 in the United States on December 17 (18th in KST)."
According to Jellyfish Entertainment, Yongseung was immediately separated from the other members and staff as soon as his test result came back positive.
"Yongseung immediately separated from other members and staff and began self-isolation in accordance with the quarantine guidelines of the Cleveland, Ohio area," Jellyfish Entertainment shared.
The agency also stated that other than a mild headache, Yongseung does not have any additional physical symptoms.
"All other VERIVERY members and all the staff participating in the 2021 VERIVERY 1ST TOUR IN US have been notified of negative results, and there are no symptoms of infection, such as fever or respiratory disease," Jellyfish Entertainment stated.
Accordingly, Jellyfish Entertainment announced the cancelation of VERIVERY's remaining US tour schedule, saying, "As previously announced, in consideration of the safety and health of our fans and artists as our top priority, we will be holding a concert in Cleveland on the evening of December 17 (in the morning of the 18th in Korea), Harrisburg on the 19th (20th in KST), We would like to inform you that all schedules including the New York concert on the 20th (21st in KST) have been unavoidably canceled."
Lastly, Jellyfish Entertainment assured fans that they would do their best to ensure the speedy recovery of VERIVERY's Yongseung.
"We deeply apologize for causing concern to our fans. In the future, in accordance with local and Korean quarantine authorities' policies, we will do our best to ensure that Yongseung's speedy recovery and the health of the artists and staff are taken into consideration so that he can return home safely and quickly," Jellyfish Entertainment promised.

Meanwhile, VERIVERY, who started their first US tour "2021 VERIVERY 1st TOUR IN US," met local fans in Los Angeles, Tempe, Dallas, Houston, St. Louis, and Fort Wayne, and finally performed in New York after Cleveland and Harrisburg.
