BTS's Jungkook has been cleared by the Fair Trade Commission regarding the backdoor controversy the K-pop idol was in.

In the past weeks, BTS's Jungkook has stepped down from being a director of a private clothing brand after netizens noticed that he was wearing shirts from the company, 'Graffitionmind', while doing activities. This has led to many netizens accusing the star of doing what you call backdoor advertising.

It became even bigger news after an individual filed a complaint to the Fair Trade Commission regarding Jungkook's actions. In a report last week, the individual felt that it was unfair for many private and struggling businesses that have no way of advertising their products what Jungkook is doing

The clothing brand, 'Graffitionmind', is owned by BTS's Jungkook's older brother Jeon Jung Hyun. He was also the director of the brand but has since stepped down after the controversy. Jungkook did not address the backdoor advertising controversy as there were no violations done by him, according to Jungkook's team.

Now, the Fair Trade Commission has released a statement regarding Jungkook and has cleared him of any complaints or charges.

"Given the information that was revealed, it's hard to tell that Jungkook's actions are 'backdoor' advertisements. The most important aspect of a backdoor advertisement is whether or not he tricked his fans. However, he did not mention the brand at all, therefore, it's difficult to be acknowledged as deceiving his fans." In addition, the FTC official stated, "Just simply wearing a brand of clothes does not violate any fair trade criterion about backdoor advertisement."

Fans of Jungkook are commenting on how the individual who filed a complaint might be an anti-fan or a hater of the K-pop idol. They believe that the accusations filed are not solid enough to even get the FTC's notice. But, they are thankful that BTS's Jungkook has been cleared.
