DIA and Former IOI Chaeyeon To Star In Upcoming Historical Drama

Did you miss DIA and former IOI member Jung Chaeyeon? The good news, the idol-turned actress, is confirmed to return to the small screen very soon.

On May 8th, a KBS representative confirmed that the former IOI member is set to star in an upcoming historical romance series. Jung Chaeyeon will be playing the role of Noh Ha Kyung for the upcoming series entitled "戀慕 (Love)." She will be joined by actress Park Eun Bin, SF9's Rowoon, Nam Yoon Soo, VICTON's Byungchan, and many others.

After her stint with IOI, Jung Chaeyeon has starred in various dramas. She made her acting debut in 2015 with the web drama "Sweet Temptation." Jung Chaeyeon has also assumed the main role for "Happy Ending (2016)," "109 Strange Things (2017)," "I am... (2017)," "My First First Love (2019)," and "My First First Love 2 (2019)." 

"戀慕 (Love)" will be Jung Chaeyeon's comeback drama after 2 years.

The drama "戀慕 (Love)" will revolve around a twisted love story where Jung Chaeyeon's Noh Ha Kyung is arranged to marry the crown prince of the time. 

Initially, Noh Ha Kyung opposes the arranged marriage, but as the daughter of a noble family, it is both an obligation and honor to marry the crown prince, so she agreed to it. Once Noh Ha Kyung meets the prince, she falls in love.

Little did Noh Ha Kyung know, crown prince Lee Hwi is a girl and to be played by Park Eun Bin.

After the original crown prince Lee Hwi's unexpected death, his twin sister was forced to assume the responsibility. A secretive romance will ensue between the acting prince and her royal tutor.
