'Rock Band 4' Songs To Include Van Halen Tracks; XBox One Console Announced As Grand Prize Giveaway!
This week, six of Van Halen's songs will be included in "Rock Band 4's" songs, brought by Harmonix, according to Polygon.
"Rock Band 4" fans will be able to play "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love," "Dance The Night Away," "Unchained," "Hot For Teacher," "And The Cradle Will Rock," and "Runnin' With The Devil," revealed Shack News.
Harmonix has teamed up with Mad Catz to bring "Rock Band 4" to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
"Rock Band 4" will support about 2,000 tracks released since the launch of the original "Rock Band" in 2007. This accounts for more than 500 legendary music artists in the rock world, reported WP.
Each "Rock Band 4" song retails for $1.99 and all six songs in "Van Halen Hits Pack 01" costs $9.99.
Van Halen songs have only been available for a time in "Guitar Hero" games until "Rock Band 4."
Players who have downloaded or purchased playable tracks on last-gen consoles, at no additional charge, will be able to play the tracks on their new platforms.
At the launch, hundred of tracks will be available, with more tracks and back catalog that can be added regularly after.
"Guitar Hero 2" started with a "You Really Got Me" cover in 2006 and continued to feature 25 songs from the band in the "2009 Guitar Hero: Van Halen."
"Panama" is in the "Rock Band 4" songs list and the first Van Halen track to appear in a "Rock Band" title.
The Van Halen songs are released, Nov. 24 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
A free "Rock Band 4" update is coming in December. It will focus on social and competitive updates.
"(Rockband 4) remains every bit the magical cooperative gaming experience the series has always been," according to a "Rock Band 4" review by IGN.
PlayStation 4 users in Europe will have to wait until Nov. 26.
Harmonix will be running a sweepstakes for fans from Nov. 23 to Nov. 29, shared Worthplaying.
The grand prize package includes an Xbox One console, a "Rock Band 4 Band-in-a-Box" bundle for Xbox One, Van Halen Hits Pack 01 DLC for Rock Band 4, a set of 6 2015 CD remasters of Van Halen David Lee Roth-era albums, the Tokyo Dome Live in Concert CD, and a Tokyo Dome Live in Concert poster.
