HYBE, The Rebranded Big Hit Entertainment, Unveils Their New Headquarters!
In a matter of few weeks, K-Pop fans worldwide will say goodbye to Big Hit Entertainment, the home of BTS, TXT, ENHYPEN, GFriend, and so much more, as it will be rebranding to its new name, HYBE.
With its new campaign film "What Do You Believe In?," Big Hit Labels also introduced HYBE, which it will be rebranding to in its 16th year.
The entertainment company's chairman and chief executive officer Bang Si-hyuk said in his official statement, "What we think of as variation of music is that of infinite realm, and I think the name Big Hit Entertainment cannot fully capture this concept."
The company that manages various K-Pop artists is also handling music production, publishing, artist management, new artist development, education business, the platform business, and so much more. CEO Bang Si-hyuk said they need a new name that will encompass all these aspects.
He added the new name HYBE would cover various business realms they carry out, becoming a symbol of their structure that continuously expands and connects with the fans. HYBE epitomizes "connection, expansion, and relationships."
The new headquarters of HYBE in Yongsan, Seoul is beautiful. Today, March 22nd, Big Hit Entertainment unveiled it will be moving to this headquarters, a 19-story building with seven floors underground, covering 60,000 square meters of space. It can house over 1,000 executives and employees.
The HYBE headquarters consists of areas for entertainment production, offices, employees' welfare department, and so much more. The basement will have a museum that the general public can visit.
Following a "Hyper Nomad" concept, the HYBE headquarters will not only cover various needs of employees but will be the ideal place to come together and discuss various projects. The building, according to Soompi, focuses on functionality rather than decoration. On the top floor are a cafe, auditorium, and garden.
