TWICE, a well-known South Korean girl group, achieved another milestone after being recognized as the best-selling K-Pop group in Japan.

In a recent Twitter post by Billboard TWICE, it was revealed that the prominent group accumulated over three million sales. The figures were based on the report released by Oricon.

The nine-member girl group also surpassed the 10-year record of KARA, another South Korean pop girl group formed by DSP Media, in the said country.

The recognition was given a few days after TWICE was reported as the best-selling girl group in Korea. These honors are considered proof that the group is dominating the world market.

Meanwhile, the post of Billboard TWICE about the group's newest achievement had gone viral on social media. It already has more than 3 thousand likes and 1,300 retweets as of this writing.

Netizens could also not help but air their happiness after knowing that their idol was named the best-selling K-Pop group in Japan. A fan even described the group as "legends" because they have broken several records already.

"TWICE broke a 20-year record by S.E.S as the best-selling girl group of all time in South Korea and now they broke a 10-year-old record by KARA as the best-selling female kpop group in Japan in a span of 5 years only. Legends? Legends," the supporter wrote on Twitter.

"TWICE [is a] record breaker!" she added.

A few weeks ago, TWICE surprised many fans after revealing that they will release their eighth Japanese single in May. Based on a report by The Korea Herald, the upcoming single titled 'Kura Kura' will tell how a person falls in love at first sight. Park Jinyoung wrote the lyrics of the said song.

"The concert may be over and we look forward to meeting you again. We'll drop a huge spoiler," Nayeon quipped at the end of her group's online show.
