Song Hye Kyo Confirmed To Star On SBS Drama, ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’
The star-studded main lineup for the upcoming SBS drama, "Now, We Are Breaking Up," is confirmed!
On March 10th, the producers behind the highly-anticipated drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up" released the main lineup, which includes Song Hye Kyo, Choi Hee Seo, Ki Yong Ki, and Kim Jooheon.
Directed by Lee Gil-bok, "Now, We Are Breaking Up" is scheduled to be broadcasted in the second half of 2021. The drama is set in the fashion world and revolves around the 38-year-old Ha Young Eun, who is the leader of the design team at a fashion team. She is a realist, a cold-hearted one that just "doesn't waste time getting emotional over men." Ha Young Eun knows what she wants and is clear about "reaping the rewards for her own work." "Now, We Are Breaking Up " will tackle the story of breakups and separation of people and all the sweet, salty, sour, and bitter aspects of the experience.
After actresses Soo Ae and Yoo Taeo Oh turned down the offer, Song Hye Kyo is confirmed to play Ha Young Eun, and with the additional lineup including Ki Yong Ki, Choi Hee Seo, and Kim Jooheon, the expectations for the drama is very high. Song Hye-Kyo last appeared on the 2018 drama "Encounter" together with Park Bo Gum. Aside from that, Song Hye Kyo's most notable roles are on "Full House," "The Winter, The Wind Blows," and "Descendants of the Sun."
"Now, We Are Breaking Up" is the first drama that Lee Gilbok will direct. Lee Gilbok is famous for being the cinematographer of some of the popular and iconic Korean dramas such as "My Love From The Star" and "Vagabond." Meanwhile, the drama will be written by "Misty" screenwriter Je In.
The upcoming SBS drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up" is scheduled to be broadcasted for the first time in October. They will begin filming for the first time in April.
