March Tags To Be Filled With K-pop Surprises
Reports said that the month of March is expected to be another impressive month with top-tier acts getting ready to drop new songs.
Singer-songwriter IU, rapper-singer Jessi, and BLACKPINK's Rose are expected to widen the hype with their long-awaited album releases this March.
BLACKPINK Rose will be releasing her debut solo album this Friday, March 12, YG Entertainment has confirmed. Rose is at the lead in chronological order.
Named as "R," YG Entertainment stressed that the title was chosen to mark Rose's "new beginning as a solo artist." The singer seized part in designing the album cover, the label added.
Rose teaser video for "Gone," one of her tracks on the upcoming album, reached more than 46 million YouTube views as of the latest count.
She first performed the song "Gone" during the band's virtual concert slated in late January.
Meanwhile, the P Nation label announced Jessi's hyped digital single to be released on March 17. Jessi is a Korean American rapper prominently known for her onscreen bad-girl vibe.
Jessi gained more popularity during her stint in the project band "Refund Sisters" on the MBC reality show "Hangout with Yoo."
The label did not yet give further details on her upcoming debut single.
Songtress IU recently revealed her much-awaited full album on March 25.
It was four years ago, 2017, when IU released her critically acclaimed album "Palette."
This will be IU's first new music in roughly ten months since she worked on "Eight." The song featured rapper-singer Suga of BTS and charted on top.
During her speech at the Golden Disk Awards ceremony, IU said she hopes that her new artwork positivity and good vibes.
She said, "(The album) carries stories of encouragement more than ever. I try to give heartfelt music that can help energize people whose souls are exhausted."
IU's label did not also elaborate further details about the upcoming album "Lilac." Instead, they gave fans exceptional teaser images and audio snippets that bring anticipation surrounding it runs high.
