SpongeBob SquarePants' Prequel Will Take Viewers To The Origins Of The Well-Loved Nickelodeon Character
Not only are your DC Comics and Marvel superheroes having their origin flicks, but SpongeBob SquarePants too. The upcoming prequel, "Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years," will take viewers on a trip down memory lane on the origins of the well-loved Nickelodeon character.
Composed of 13 seasons, "SpongeBob SquarePants" is touted as the longest-running and most successful show on the children's network, Nickelodeon.
This time, it is presenting a prequel titled "Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years," featuring the adventures of the young SpongeBob SquarePants together with his friends Sandy Cheeks and Patrick Star.
The new trailer of the prequel has been unveiled, with the voice-over saying, "Before the pineapple, before the Krusty Krab, there was Kamp Koral."
Set at the Kamp Koral sleepaway camp, the prequel will showcase the beginnings of the "SpongeBob SquarePants" characters. It will see the return of various original cast members, including Mr. Krabs and Squidward Tentacles. The show will be voiced by Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Carolyn Lawrence, and so much more.
The new trailer also shows the young characters having fun at the camp, zip-lining, eating Plankton-prepared green mush at its outdoor cafeteria, organizing group exercises, jellyfishing, and more.
A CG-animated prequel series in 13 episodes, it will feature the world's favorite sea sponge when he was ten years old. "SpongeBob SquarePants" was created by the late Stephen Hillenburg, animator and marine science educator.
"Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years" will launch on March 4th, 2021, on Paramount+. The first six episodes will be shown, while the schedule of the release of the remaining seven episodes is yet to be unveiled.
Back in 2019, the Nickelodeon animated series celebrated its 20th anniversary. Their fans before are mostly in their 20s now. The upcoming series will cater to those who tuned in to "SpongeBob SquarePants" that started in 2004.
