MTV Unplugged Releases Promotional Video featuring BTS's Jin

"MTV Unplugged" announced that the international sensation K-pop boy band BTS would be guesting on February 23. The news has gathered much interest as this will be the first time a K-pop group will be appearing on the show.

BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, will all appear on the special episode, with MTV promising to show a different side to each idol.

As per reports, "MTV Unplugged" will follow their tradition of making the artist perform a "stripped down" version of their well-loved singles. The show has become one of the staple music platforms for many global artists.

"MTV Unplugged" first aired in 1989 and has seen the likes of Aerosmith, Elton John, Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, and most recently, Miley Cyrus's take on the stage. BTS's appearance marks a milestone for both the show and K-pop music.

Recently "MTV Unplugged's" official Twitter account uploaded a promo video with BTS's Jin. In the 16 second clip, Jin asks their fans to watch the special episode on the February 23.

Fans have grown more excited over the release of the promo clip with Jin, with fans of BTS hoping to see more of the Idols promoting the upcoming show.

The episode will be taped in South Korea's capital, Seoul City, a very first for the show as well, but due to the unusual circumstances caused by the pandemic, BTS and the music platform opted to keep on the safe side.

There is no news what the boy band will be performing on the hour-long episode, but there are high hopes that they will be singing their hit songs such as "Dynamite," "Butterfly," "Boy In Luv," "Dope," "Run" and "MIC Drop (Steve Aoki) Remix."

"MTV Unplugged" BTS episode will be available on February 23 globally.
