The Netflix series "Bridgerton" has been one of the most popular original series on the streaming platform after its launch on Christmas Day.

Already confirmed that it would be having its second season, "Bridgerton" is a period drama series based on the novels written by Julia Quinn featuring the competitive world of Regency London where debutants are presented into the court. It is said to be Regency England's version of "Gossip Girl."

It follows Daphne Bridgerton, portrayed by Phoebe Dynevor, the eldest daughter of the Bridgerton family, as she is presented in the London society hoping to find a match, yet her choice must be approved by her oldest brother Anthony, Viscount Bridgerton, reprised by Jonathan Bailey. Daphne is named crown jewel by Queen Charlotte, reprised by Golda Rosheuvel, but becomes the subject of a gossip paper written by a mysterious Lady Whistledown, voiced by "The Sound of Music" star Julie Andrews, stirring up drama among friends, families, and outsiders.
