Ariana Grande Wraps Up Shoot For Upcoming Netflix Film 'Don't Look Up' With These Stars
Ariana Grande is joining more celebrities who are exploring and venturing into careers different from how fans have recognized them with. From singing, she is now starring in a Netflix film, her first major acting project, titled "Don't Look Up," with several A-list Hollywood actors.
The "34+35" singer has just wrapped up filming for the Netflix film, alongside actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. Just Jared Jr. has the scoop.
She is joined by other A-list celebrities who will also be part of "Don't Look Up." They include Cate Blanchett, Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, and Meryl Streep.
Before the weekend last Friday, the 27-year-old singer unveiled a photo of her trailer door from the set, detailing how she has finished her part. Ariana also revealed her character who is, Riley Bina.
"Don't Look Up" is releasing later this year. It tells the story of two low-level astronomers who are journeying on a giant media tour to warn people of an approaching comet that will destroy Earth.
This will also be the first acting gig of the singer after she appeared in one of the episodes of Jim Carrey's TV series, "Kidding" last year. She had once been featured in a cameo in "Zoolander 2" in 2016.
"Don't Look Up" is a political satire disaster movie written and directed by Adam McKay.
It will also feature Rob Morgan, Timothée Chalamet, Matthew Perry, Chris Evans, Tomer Sisley, Kid Cudi, Melanie Lynskey, Ron Perlman, and Himesh Patel.
No specific release date has been revealed yet for "Don't Look Up."
The first official teaser videos of the Netflix film have been released. The upcoming movie has been filmed in Boston, Canton, Chicopee, Norton, Fall River, Weymouth, Salisbury, and Worcester plus scenes at Union Point, the former site of the South Weymouth Naval Air Station last December.
