Park So Dam Shares A Funny Story With The Cast From 'Parasite'
Park So Dam shares an amusing story on the latest episode of JTBS's 'Ask Us Anything' from the movie Parasite.
Four awards in Oscars
This year, the movie Parasite made history by becoming the first Korean film to win Best Picture at the 92nd Academy Awards. The movie director is Bong Joon Ho, the first Korean to receive an award as the Best Director.
Parasite bagged four awards at the Oscars, which are Best Director, Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, and Best Original Screenplay.
The start of the funny story
During the appearance of Park So Dam in the broadcast of Ask Us Anything, she revealed that the Oscars unexpectedly met a problem. The cast and crew were in trouble at the airport on their way home.
She explained that they were all nervous about the idea of shipping the trophies home to Korea. They think about how they could send them through email or what if the awards might break. To answer all their questions, they put each one in a separate suitcase and wrapped them with a lot of bubble wrap.
Airport personnel stopped them
Each Oscar trophy weighs around six kilograms or approximately 13 pounds. She continued that it was so heavy to carry. The award is made up of metal and bundled up so carefully. The security at the airport mistook the awards for weapons.
They wrapped them in so much stuff because there is a long way to Korea. That is why the airport personnel stopped them, and they got into a problem.
Lastly, Park So Dam laughed as she stated that the security agents were shocked at what they saw. They unwrapped the trophies and checked it. After that, they wrapped them back in a bubble wrap, and they went home.
