PENTAGON Hui

One day before his scheduled enlistment, CUBE Entertainment announced that PENTAGON's Hui will be delaying his mandatory military service.

The 27-year-old, who is the leader and main vocal of PENTAGON, was scheduled to enter the training center on December 3rd. He is now under preemptive self-isolation and quarantine after appearing in a music broadcast for MBC's "Show! Music Core" on November 28th where the lineup included TOP Media's boy group, UP10TION. Recently, UP10TION members, Bitto and Kogyeol, were confirmed to have tested positive for the coronavirus disease.

Moreover, PENTAGON's Yeo One also crossed paths with a confirmed coronavirus case, prompting the whole group to undergo testing. Fortunately, all members, including Hui, tested negative.

Hui's agency is yet to announce the new enlistment date of the singer.

Here is CUBE Entertainment's official statement regarding Hui's delayed enlistment:

"Hello,

This is Cube Entertainment.

We would like to inform you that Hui's enlistment has been postponed.

With increasing cases of COVID-19 in the K-pop industry recently, Hui took part in a music show on November 28 where a positive case of COVID-19 was found among the cast. He is currently under self-quarantine.

Due to these circumstances, Hui's enlistment date has been postponed from December 3. The new date will be announced later.

Thank you."

Hui will become the PENTAGON's second member to proceed with his mandatory military service after Jinho, who enlisted in May.

Meanwhile, on November 28th, CUBE Entertainment informed the fans of the sudden postponement of PENTAGON's online concert, "WE L:VE" which is slated for the 29th, because of the official guideline around COVID-19 preventions. Right now, all PENTAGON members are under self-isolation.

"This was a decision we made for the safety and health of our artists and staff, and we apologize to the audience members who were anticipating the concert. We will continue to follow official guidelines on prevention of transmission," CUBE Entertainment said in an official statement.
